I've been tinkering on this song for quite a while now, and I think it is finally ready to be heard.
The past two years have been very dark, rife with the negative emotions that come from personal tragedies.
This song to me represents the hope that springs eternal, despite the darkness around us. It also represents the inherent beauty of sadness. A concept that has it's own word in Japanese, Awaré.
I was also inspired by Buddhist prayer wheels that you sometimes find at the temples. In Tibet these are known as Khorlo, which means "Wheel of Dharma;" Dharma being the concept of cosmic law or duty. Regardless of what happens the wheel keeps on turning. And we turn along with it.
Life IS suffering, yes. But it is also more than this. And there is an inherent beauty in it, even if we don't always see it for ourselves.
